Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026 (draft)
These terms govern your use of GPUCattle's GPU rental service. By renting a GPU instance through gpucattle.com, you agree to the terms below.
The service
GPUCattle provides on-demand access to cloud GPU instances, billed by the minute (or as a monthly plan), with JupyterLab and SSH access included. GPUCattle sources underlying compute capacity from third-party GPU infrastructure providers and resells access to it — GPUCattle is a reseller, not the operator of the physical hardware.
Who may use the service
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by anyone you give access to, and for keeping your password, 2-step device, recovery codes and API keys secret. Tell us at once if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- You must give accurate account and payment information, and you may not create several accounts to get around a limit, a credit or a suspension.
- See also "Sanctions and export controls" below.
Billing
- GPUCattle uses a prepaid balance model. You add funds to your account, and usage is metered against that balance while a rental is running.
- Rentals are billed per minute of active instance time, at the rate shown for the GPU tier and quantity selected.
- Billing stops the moment you stop an instance, or the moment your balance reaches $0, whichever comes first. There is no charge for time after that point.
- If your balance reaches $0 while a rental is running, that instance is stopped automatically. You can set your own low-balance warning threshold, and optionally enable an emailed one-click reload link, from your dashboard.
- You may set a maximum hourly spend limit in your dashboard settings; GPUCattle will not let you start a rental priced above that limit.
- Prices are subject to change; the rate shown at the time you start a rental is the rate that applies to that rental.
- Monthly plans are billed differently; see "Monthly plans" below.
Monthly plans
- A monthly plan is paid in full from your balance when you start it and covers 30 days from the moment your machine is ready. During the plan there are no per-minute charges.
- A monthly plan runs non-stop and cannot be paused. If you stop it early, or we suspend or close your account for a breach of these terms, the unused part of the plan is not refunded.
- If the machine never becomes ready, is lost on our infrastructure partner's side, or is stopped by us for maintenance, we credit the unused part of the plan to your balance. That credit is your only remedy for the interruption.
- Unless you turn auto-renew off, the plan renews every 30 days at the price you originally paid, taken from your balance. If your balance is too low, or auto-renew is off, the machine is stopped when the plan ends and its files are deleted. We email you beforehand, but you are responsible for keeping your balance sufficient and your files backed up.
- Monthly plans are available only to accounts that have passed our new-account checks, and may be limited, changed or withdrawn for future purchases at any time.
New accounts, payments and disputes
- To limit fraud, new accounts have limits (for example on the hourly price of the GPU you can rent and the size of a single top-up). They lift as your account builds paid history. We may apply or keep limits, ask you to verify your identity or payment method, and refuse or cancel an order or rental at our reasonable discretion.
- If a payment is refunded, reversed or disputed, we may remove the matching credit from your balance, suspend your account and block new rentals until it is resolved. Credit you have already used is still owed.
- Referral and promotional credit has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or refunded. It may be reversed if the payment it relied on is refunded or disputed, and may be refused or reversed for accounts we reasonably believe were created to claim it.
Data persistence
Whether your files survive stopping an instance or switching GPU quantity depends on which underlying provider that instance runs on:
- Instances on providers that support persistent storage keep your files in a separate storage volume that survives the instance being stopped or replaced.
- Instances on providers without that capability store your files only on the instance's own disk. Stopping that instance, or switching to a different GPU quantity, permanently deletes those files, with no way to recover them.
GPUCattle's interface tells you which case applies before you stop or switch a rental, and requires you to explicitly acknowledge data loss before proceeding when it applies. You are responsible for backing up anything you need to keep — see also the Limitation of Liability section below.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use rented instances for:
- Illegal activity of any kind
- Generating, storing, or distributing content that violates applicable law
- Attempting to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorized access to other systems
- Cryptocurrency mining of any kind
- Mining, staking, validating blockchains or running mining pools, or any system that earns digital-asset rewards, including software that is renamed or disguised
- Sending spam, phishing or other unsolicited bulk messages, or running mail servers
- Scanning, probing or testing any system without its owner's written permission, denial-of-service attacks, or running botnets
- BitTorrent or other peer-to-peer file sharing, IRC servers or bots, and proxies, VPN or anonymising relays for other people
- Creating, storing or sharing child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate images, or sexual deepfakes of real people
- Infringing copyright or other rights, or using pirated or unlicensed software
- Getting around any limit, security control or billing on the service, or reselling or sharing your access with others
- Anything that damages or overloads our systems, our infrastructure partners' systems or other customers
Violation of acceptable use may result in immediate termination of the rental without refund.
Report abuse to support@gpucattle.com. We act on reports promptly.
Monitoring and enforcement
- To enforce the acceptable-use rules we run automated checks on rented machines. They look at the names of running programs, how busy the GPU and processor are, and how long the machine has been idle. They do not read your files.
- If we reasonably suspect a breach, or an infrastructure partner or authority asks us to act, we may at once and without notice stop or delete your machines, suspend or close your account, block new rentals, and report the matter to our partners and to the authorities.
- Our infrastructure partners may also act directly against your machine or account for a breach, and we may share information about you and your use with them and with authorities where needed to deal with it.
- If you breach the acceptable-use rules or the sanctions rules, we may keep any unused balance to cover the costs and losses it caused, to the extent the law allows. You will pay our reasonable costs and losses (including penalties charged by our partners) caused by your breach, and compensate us against third-party claims that arise from your use of the service.
Sanctions and export controls
You may not use the service if you are located in, or ordinarily resident in, a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you (or anyone you act for) appear on a sanctions or restricted-party list maintained by the United Nations, United States, European Union, United Kingdom or India. You may not use the service to develop or support weapons, military end-uses, or any activity prohibited by export-control laws, and you may not give anyone access who would be barred under this section. We may suspend accounts immediately to comply with these laws.
Infrastructure partners
The GPUs and servers behind the service are operated by third-party infrastructure partners. Their acceptable-use rules and legal requirements also apply to your use of the service, and you agree to follow them. In practice they match the acceptable-use rules above; where a partner's rules are stricter, we will apply them and may suspend or stop rentals that break them. We are responsible to you for the service; you are responsible to us for how you use it.
Your data and content
You retain full ownership of any code, models, or data you run on a rented instance. GPUCattle does not claim rights to your content and does not read the files on your instance. The automated checks described under "Monitoring and enforcement" only look at running program names and activity levels.
Availability
Because GPUCattle resells third-party capacity, instance availability depends on the underlying provider. GPUCattle does not guarantee a specific uptime percentage, a particular GPU, or that a machine will start; see our guarantees section for what is actually committed to.
Limitation of liability
GPUCattle is not liable for data loss, business interruption, or other damages arising from use of the service, to the maximum extent permitted by law. You are responsible for backing up any data or work stored on a rented instance before it ends.
Termination
You may stop a rental at any time. GPUCattle may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or the acceptable use policy above, immediately and without notice where we reasonably think it is needed to protect the service, other customers, our partners or the law. Closing your account does not cancel what you already owe.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
